Our Story | About the Babies
About the Babies was founded on a simple belief: families deserve to feel supported, understood, and genuinely cared for as they welcome a new baby.
We know that the transition into parenthood is as individual as the families experiencing it. It can be beautiful, exhausting, joyful, uncertain, and sometimes all of those things in the same afternoon.
Our role is not to tell you how to parent or offer a one-size-fits-all approach.
It is to walk alongside you, listen to what matters most, and offer the kind of thoughtful, experienced support that allows you to feel more comfortable in your new beginning.
We believe in caring for the whole family, honoring the relationships already present, and creating space for everyone to grow into their new roles.
Our Mission
Hello, I am Joey.
As a mother of three, I understand that no two experiences of pregnancy, birth, or parenthood are alike. Each of my children brought a different journey, with its own joys, challenges, and lessons.
For more than two decades, I have had the privilege of supporting families through the newborn and postpartum period. What continues to mean the most to me is not only caring for babies, but developing genuine relationships with the people who love them.
I understand how personal it is to invite someone into your home during such a tender chapter. My intention is always to bring a calm, knowledgeable, and nurturing presence while honoring the unique needs, values, and preferences of your family.
Sometimes that means offering guidance or sharing what I have learned over the years. Other times, it means listening, offering reassurance, or making sure a parent has the opportunity to rest.
I want the families I work with to feel comfortable asking questions, finding their own rhythm, and growing in confidence along the way.
There is something incredibly special about watching a family settle into this new season of life. It is a privilege I never take lightly.
With warmth,
Joey
